Neck pain is becoming a more common musculoskeletal condition and is a condition that is commonly treated in our clinic. Neck pain can affect anybody at any stage in their life, however there are some conditions and lifestyle choices that increase your risk.
- Cervical spondylosis- degenerative arthritis in the neck
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Working at a desk
- Driving
- Shoulder injuries
- Whiplash
- Poor posture
Neck pain can also lead to further conditions such as headaches.
What do we treat?
Once we have confirmed the cause of your pain and we have discussed how this affects your daily life through a discussion about your pain, medical history and specific questions, we then do a physical assessment.
The we will discuss treatment options with you these may include; massage, taping, acupuncture, cupping, joint mobilisation, posture correction, workplace adaptations.
